Save Money in 2023 with These Home Organization Tips!
Discover these 5 Easy ways to save money in 2023 with these simple home organization tips!
Organizing your home shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. You can save money and have an organized home that’s sure to help your household run smoother in 2023.
We’ve seen YouTube videos that go into great detail about how to clean and declutter any room in the home. We’ve even tried mastering the Marie Kondo method, but, let’s be honest… It’s a bit on the tedious side. Heck, we’ve even considered hiring a professional to come and whip our home into shape.
However, all of those things are either expensive, time-consuming, or unrealistic at best.
What if we told you you could organize your home, save money, and maybe even increase your home’s value? Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
Here are some of our favorite tips for saving money while organizing your home.
1. Go Vertical
If you’re short on floor space, set your sights higher!
By using vertical space and adding more shelves, you can keep the things you need organized and easy to grab while freeing up that valuable floor space.
That’s not all! Shelves don’t have to be horizontal! You can use vertical shelves under cabinets to store things like cutting boards, sheet pans, muffin tins, etc.
2. Add Drying Racks
A great way to improve your laundry room’s functionality is by hanging drying racks on the wall. When you’re not using the racks, they fold up and lay flat against the wall.
We like these because not only are they inexpensive, but you can save money on the electric bill by hanging small loads on them rather than running the dryer!

3. Rail or Hooks for Your Pots
If your kitchen is lacking cabinet space, instead of storing your pots and pans in a cabinet, consider hanging them from hooks that you’ve attached to the side of cabinets (if you have exposed spaces anyway), under your cabinets (if there’s enough space), or from the ceiling via an overhead pot rack.
4. Under-Shelf Storage
Whether you’re trying to find storage for your yoga mats, belts, scarves, or anything else you’re struggling to find space for, consider the space under your shelves. You can add brackets under the shelf to hold long items like yoga mats and sports equipment, but you can also install hooks or pegs to store your belts, scarves, etc.

5. Utilize Ceiling Space
Garages are the perfect place to store all the odds and ends that don’t have a spot inside the home, but we all know how quickly it can become a chaotic mess.
So why not add storage racks to the ceiling of the garage for the items that you rarely use or for seasonal stuff?
You can add ceiling storage racks in the garage, a shed, the basement, and even an attic!
Life has a tendency to get a little chaotic from time to time, so the new year is a great chance to set goals that will help mitigate that chaos. If improving your home’s organization and tidiness is on your new year’s resolution list, these tips are a great starting point to get you going!
